Before bed, instead of watching the latest Drive episode, I read a research paper a climatologist friend of mine wrote in his spare time on the topic of near term extinction. He theorizes that between the irradiation of the Pacific Ocean due to Fukishima (approximately 60% of all the world's breathable oxygen is produced by phytoplankton in the oceans), the release of millions of metric tons of methane gas due to permafrost deterioration in Siberia, and the deoxygenation of the rest of the oceans (the so-called dead zones create absolutely barren ecosystems, including again the aforementioned phytoplankton), the fundamental composition of our atmosphere will become unbreathable to more than 99% of all species on the planet within the next 30 years.
ANYWAY, he had lots of sources, yada yada. He's also a chemtrail photographing, Alex Jones listening, doomsday prepper. So no, I don't put a lot of stock in his non-scholarly writings, which this clearly was. However, when you got o bed on that kind of reading. Sweet Jesus. No sleep. I was like Kramer in the Kenny Rogers Roasters episode.
I need nice vibes today. I think my new windshield wiper switch and front turn signal housing are coming this weekend, so MAYBE if I can get in a few hours, the Alfa will be ready to roll. Seriously, that's all it needs. Well, and to have its steering column reinstalled. But aside form that.

I love that 'irradiation of the Pacific Ocean due to Fukushima'. Some people really do have no sense of scale. :)
On top of that, I'm pretty sure that even if oxygen replenishment stopped tomorrow, it would take more than thirty years for atmospheric depletion to become significant. I can't be bothered to check, though.
Oh yes, and way more than 1% of species respire anaerobically.

There's no such thing as "all an Alfa needs" and you damn well know it.
In non-harshing buzz news and good vibes + waking up, I give ye some Hawkwind:

Reading a little bit and listening to Alex Jones can make you paranoid. You should take everything with a grain of salt and just allow yourself to open your mind a little bit. That is how you survive. Also don't watch the news unless they are live somewhere. The facts they are reporting are unconfirmed however they are unfiltered as well. Just my opinion. Carry on.

Send him a link to these folks. They have it all figured out and he will be able to rest easy knowing that his theory is incorrect.

I should have added that I was at work until after 9, then had Whataburger on the way home, and finally watched an episode of Fringe before bed. Sooo...

Ahhh okay. A nice 22oz IPA a little before bed will solve that problem.
